Dual Credit Enrollment Blossoms – Grasslands Public Schools' 2026-2027 Division Education Plan says dual-credit enrollment "has blossomed", with 39 students completing dual-credit courses. Students take a course and earn credit toward their high school diploma and toward a college or trades credential. The division is also piloting a new Career Education and Financial Literacy curriculum at Rolling Hills School.

Staffing Levels Set to Drop – Grasslands' teaching staff has been shrinking since 2024. Full-time equivalent teaching positions fell from 217 as reported in the division's Annual Education Results Report, to a projected 201 from the Division Education Plan, a loss of 16 positions over two school years. FTE, or full-time equivalent, counts part-time positions as fractions of a full position rather than a plain headcount.

50 Languages, One Division – Grasslands Public Schools' 2024-2025 Annual Education Results Report shows Brooks schools running English-as-an-Additional-Language populations as high as 30%, close to Calgary Board of Education's 30.8% EAL rate, Alberta's largest school district. More than 50 languages are spoken in Grasslands' EAL classrooms, concentrated mostly in Brooks' six city schools, an estimated one language for every 50 students. Calgary's board, with over 142,000 students, reports about 140 languages, closer to one per 1,000 students.

Complexity Teams Piloting at Three Schools – Grasslands' Division Education Plan is rolling out "Complexity Teams" at Eastbrook, Griffin Park and Uplands elementary schools, aimed at reducing complexity in classrooms. The plan names classroom complexity as an ongoing concern across the division, "especially in our lower elementary grades." An estimated 450 to 500 students across the division carry an Alberta special-education code.
