WHAT IS YOUR WHY Why is what you do important? What problems do you solve?: I keep people warm in the winter and their feet looking stylish in the summer.

CHALLENGES: I find it a challenge to create something that is truly unique and can’t be bought online at a much cheaper price so there isn’t competition.

MOTIVATION What keeps you going on difficult days?: Creating something new motivates me. Designing a new pattern. Working with natural materials that work with the environment.

The Wool Mine will be at the Brooks Farmers’ Market for the Opening Market May 26! As well as a few more times throughout the season. Saturday, Apr. 30 Tracey will be at the Millarville Farmers Market.

BrooksNet broadband project is starting to break ground. The majority of the project will be completed in 2023. Visit their booth at the Chamber Trade Show to get information and “pre-register” to have the infrastructure brought to your property during construction.

Arts, Culture and Heritage Board is having a Mother's Day Afternoon Tea and Craft Fair on May 7th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The fair will feature a variety of local artists and is free to the public. Tickets are available at the JBS Canada Center.

Lead singer of Great Big Sea, Sean Mccann will be performing Saturday, April 30th at the Heritage Inn & Convention Centre. Kicking off the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Mental Health Week. His new path finds him connecting with people across Canada, using his music as medicine as he continues his journey as a singer, songwriter, and now an acclaimed speaker and mental health and recovery advocate. Old Rodeo Grounds suggestions being considered as a result of the public engagement:

1. Leave the area as is as an off-leash dog park.

2. Fence a portion of the Old Rodeo Grounds for use as an off-leash dog park while using the additional space for a BMX bike park.

3. The City is waiting on a report to determine whether the existing Skate Board Park needs a complete replacement, the Old Rodeo Grounds could be utilized for a new skateboard park, as well as a BMX bike park and off-leash dog park.

Lake Newell Pathway continues to progress. Bricks can be purchased for $200 at the Chamber Trade Show, The first 2km portion is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 and the remainder by the end of 2023.
