2025 Brooks Budget Survey highlights - residents gave their input on municipal services funded by property taxes. Insights from the survey will guide the 2025 budget planning. Some Community Development Services comments: "I think the focus should be on tourism and attracting businesses that will improve the community. Free events and social services don’t lead to prosperity—they’re just creating entitled residents." "Strengthening the social fabric is the most important work of a municipality. Creating connections, breaking down divisions, and dispelling misconceptions. Perfect roads don’t matter if the town is so unfriendly that no one wants to live there."
