Kinbrook Connection Pathway Stage 1 construction was completed in 2022 in an effort to provide a pathway between the City of Brooks to Kinbrook Island Provincial Park. The Kinbrook Connection Pathway Partnership was derived by the Economic Recovery Task Force seeking projects to enhance the region by expanding its outdoor recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. City and County Councils supported the Kinbrook Connection Pathway Partnership initiative by committing funding to the engineering and construction of the pathways. The Eastern Irrigation District (EID) is also a Partner in this initiative. Fundraising campaigns have been ongoing to support the construction of 10km, Stage 2 of the Pathway. Brooks Asphalt & Aggregate submitted the only tender. The scope of work is inclusive of earthwork, paving, a bridge, landscaping, and amenities (Sunshades/Shelters, Benches, Trash Receptacles, Bicycle Racks, Trailhead Plaza, and Signage).
