Emerson Bridge Park is open for the season and showcases impressive improvements and in-house designs.

“Gas Station” of the future: The proposed development is adjacent to the Flying J. The Electric Vehicle Charging Station will consist of 3 EV chargers for the first phase and grow to 6 stations in the future. The development will also include a rest area to accommodate users while waiting for their EVs to charge. It is anticipated the EV Station will support 10 – 13 cars per day in the first 5 years of operation, rising to 40 cars per day as EV adoption increases.

Join The Brooks Design Lab! A series of fun and friendly workshops where they will consider a topic chosen by community leaders and develop exciting ideas together. The topic they are exploring in this lab is focused on newcomers to Brooks and ways to work together to bring the community together.

Kinbrook Connection Pathway Stage 1 construction was completed in 2022 in an effort to provide a pathway between the City of Brooks to Kinbrook Island Provincial Park. The Kinbrook Connection Pathway Partnership was derived by the Economic Recovery Task Force seeking projects to enhance the region by expanding its outdoor recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. City and County Councils supported the Kinbrook Connection Pathway Partnership initiative by committing funding to the engineering and construction of the pathways. The Eastern Irrigation District (EID) is also a Partner in this initiative. Fundraising campaigns have been ongoing to support the construction of 10km, Stage 2 of the Pathway.

Brooks Asphalt & Aggregate submitted the only tender. The scope of work is inclusive of earthwork, paving, a bridge, landscaping, and amenities (Sunshades/Shelters, Benches, Trash Receptacles, Bicycle Racks, Trailhead Plaza, and Signage).
