Along with the Brooks Farmers’ Market Janice brings their fresh produce to Millarville Market and Bearspaw Farmers Market throughout the summer.

Are you missing the fresh produce from MIchelle’s Market? You don’t have to! Winter Squash and garlic will be available in the Curated Crates.

Brooks region totally surprised us! “Being born in Alberta, I thought I had seen everything... but Brooks Region Tourism surprised us with so many unique sights and activities we will definitely be back to spend another 48 hours in the Brooks region.” in July Travel Alberta creators Kurtis & Chelsey shot a video of a weekend of activities and last week they were back for another 48 hours of activities. Watch it here.

New Pleasant Park pathway that comes off the west-end baseball diamonds, runs along Marshall drain and meets up with Evergreen Park is complete and has been well-received and used by the public. Previously it was a shale path.

City of Brooks’ 10‐Year Capital Plan - the City reached out to the residents for their input. The survey asked five specific questions:

#4- What is something the City doesn’t have that you would like to see here? (might have to stay here for a minute there were nearly 200 responses):

  • Indoor skate park

  • Bus service

  • Just no more fast food places or liquor stores!

  • Outdoor movie nights.

  • Burger King

  • Soup kitchen

  • pride in urban design - authenticity to our area themes - landscaping - more open to approving permits from community members that might be a bit creative, that add to the various neighbourhoods, though not exactly fitting the "code".

  • Give some attention to newcomers. They need more orientation. I’m also an immigrant but I've noticed that some immigrants don't do their duties. Some of them just throw their garbage anywhere, and some of them do not care about their surroundings and neighbours.
